Sustainability Scholar

The Pathways program allowed me to interact with sustainability as an interdisciplinary pursuit. Being an undergraduate natural scientist, I spent most of my time considering science-oriented issues and solutions to the climate crisis. Participating in the program meant that I was connecting with peers and educators in the arts and looking at policy approaches in class. This helped develop a more holistic interpretation, which widened my network and shifted how I evaluated problems.”

[Pathways] really helps you understand the climate crisis from different dimensions. I was able to look at it socially, economically, and scientifically. It helped expose me to different learning opportunities. You’re also learning new tools and new strategies that are helpful for you to pursue your career.”

Amidst all of the fear and climate anxiety in the world, there is also so much to be excited for – there are bold new ideas and many people who truly care, this program helps expose you to this world of hope so you can become a part of it!”
