CECCS Secretariat
The Secretariat Director and staff team provides central administrative support for institution-wide efforts on sustainability. The Secretariat is responsible for the operations of the presidential advisory committee and its members, overseeing the planning, coordination, implementation and execution of various programs, initiatives and activities. The secretariat helps the university achieve its commitment to advancing sustainability at U of T and beyond.

Kristy Faccer (she/her)
Dr. Kristy Faccer is director of U of T’s President’s Advisory Committee on Environment, Climate Change, and Sustainability (CECCS) Secretariat. As the inaugural director of CECCS, she is responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight to institution-wide sustainability efforts in research, teaching, engagement, operations and student leadership. Kristy is a member of the International Sustainable Campus Network (ISCN) Advisory Committee and University Climate Change Coalition (UC3) Steering Committee and is the co-founder and convenor of the higher education Network of Networks, a coalition of 30+ networks leading on climate action from around the world. She has more than two decades of international experience in the fields of sustainability, conservation and climate and as an organizational scholar, enjoys learning from and working with sustainability change agents across all sectors.
