2024 CECCS Nominations Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What materials are you looking for in a nomination or expression of interest? 

Nominations and expressions of interest should demonstrate knowledge of U of T’s sustainability efforts, express an interest in the field, and include a brief CV/résumé. Letters of recommendation are also welcome, though not required. 

  1. How long does expression of interest/nomination need to be?  

Feel free to be as extensive as you would like. 

  1. Are self-nominations accepted?  

Yes, you are welcome to submit an expression of interest. Please include a CV/résumé, and if you wish letters of recommendation.   

  1. What is the approximate time commitment, and when will members be announced? 

We hope to have members appointed by the beginning of the fall term.  The Committee will meet at least once a term, and members will also be expected to serve on CECCS Subcommittees, which may meet more frequently.  

Members are expected to provide expertise, guidance, and support to outreach in relation to the activities and priorities of the CECCS outside of meeting times as well.  

  1. Are sessional lecturers eligible to serve as faculty representatives on CECCS?  

Yes. 

  1. Are staff representatives expected to hold senior positions within the University?  

No, the staff seats on CECCS are open to staff at all levels.
